First born 95/366

In my teens and early twenty's, I was unflinching regarding the idea of marriage and children. I WAS NOT PARTAKING. I wasn't against marriage and I loved children. I just didn't grow up dreaming of my wedding day and enjoyed going home alone after a night of babysitting.

Then I met my husband. I knew from the moment I laid eyes on him. (Truth be told, I actually asked him out.) We met and married 6 months later. (He asked me.) A bit later came my first born. I didn't realize how much I was going to love this tiny human being. From the moment she looked at me, I fell hard. One false move would have you feeling around on the floor for your detached eyeballs.

How's that grab ya?

Someone once told me that having a child was like watching your heart walk around outside your body. Boy howdy, they weren't kidding.

I love her more than my own life and am so glad I asked my husband out on that very first date so many years ago.
